I HAVE BEEN TAKING ATTIVAN FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR, I STARTED OUT TAKING 1 MG 3 TIMES PER DAY, DOWN TO 1/2 MG MAYBE 3 TIMES A DAY IF I WANT TO STOP IS THERE WITHDRAWL ALSO I HAVE ATTRIFIB AND I NOTICED YESTERDAY RIGHT AFTER TAKING 1/2 I HAD A SEVERE ATTACK CAN ATTIVAN CAUSE ATTRI ATTACK, I THOUGHT IT WOULD STOP IT

You can not stop this drug abruptly, this could cause severe withdrawal symptoms as you are taking it in high dose, you have to taper it gradually in dose and frequency too reduce the mg every after third day by 0.25 mg and then stop it, have nice day.
