Does Basal Cell Diagnosis Require Further Tests Apart From A Ct Scan?
I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from my scalp. I also have 2 visible and palpable cervical lymph nodes. All the doctors I have spoken to said they feel normal and that they are nothing to worry about. I ve also had a ct scan that showed no lymphadenpathy. The biggest 2 lymph nodes seen were the jugular digastric level 3 nodes both right and left. They measured at 15mm X 6mm and 10mm X 5mm. All of normal morphology and have a fatty hilum. Do you think I should explore further due to the basal cell diagnosis? Also can poking and prodding them cause them to stick out more?
Hi Apart from CT scan basal cell carcinoma (BCC) can be diagnosedbwith a skin biopsy. Your dermatologist can perform this procedure during an office visit. A skin biopsy should not cause anxiety.
