Hello,
Yes, birth control medicines do affect the periods. Vaginal
bleeding between periods (spotting) or missed /
irregular periods may occur, especially during the first few months of use. Once the body adjusts with the hormonal changes, problems subside. However, if you miss 2 periods in a row (or 1 period if the pill has not been used properly), do a pregnancy test. Since you are not having periods, get tested & confirmed that you are not pregnant.
If you are not pregnant you have secondary ammenorrhea caused commonly due to stress, anemia,
underweight, thyroid problems,
polycystic ovary syndrome,
anorexia nervosa, etc. You are suggested to take iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc rich food and supplements. Take home made balanced food, vegges, nuts, fruits and berries. Stay away from stress & addictions if any. Get examined by a gynecologist and get blood tests, urinalysis and USG, CT done to detect the cause, get treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
