I am 6 weeks pregnant today, last night I fell down 4 stairs on my bottom bruising my tailbone. This morning I started spotting and now is a bleeding but no cramping or clotting I am wearing a panty liner since the bleeding is really only noticed when wiping after bathroom use. Is this a miscarrage, I had one at 8 weeks a few years ago and this is different. I have a call in for OBGYN but worried.
Bleeding after a fall when you are 6 weeks pregnant is not a good sign. It is suggestive of abortion process. Fortunately you do not have abdominal pain. So this is threatened abortion, not incomplete nor inevitable abortion.
Please take complete bed rest till you see your ObGyn. At this stage, urine pregnancy test may misguide you. The best step is to get ultrasonography done. If the baby is viable and some bleeding from the placental tissues is taking place, you might be put on some Progesterone preparation like Sustain. This will help stabilize your pregnancy if it is still viable. However, if the baby has already become non-viable, termination will be the only option left.
Currently, restrict yourself to the bed and wait for your visit to the Obstetrician.
I hope you have got the correct advice.
