Does Bloating And Growling Stomach After Having Sex Mean STD?

My boyfriend says every time after we have sex, his stomach feels bloated and growling, and he is convinced I am giving him an STD. I have gone to get tested 4 times in the last 2 months & my tests come back negative for everything. He says after we ve slept together, he has gone to the local clinic where he lives & got a shot in the buttocks & antibiotics and it went away, but he never went back for his results. He refuses to have sex with me even though my results are negative (x4). I am also pregnant, and tried to tell him it may be male symptomatic symptoms. Is there an STD that causes bloating and growling stomach, why would I be testing negative, and what should I tell him to get him to believe me I m not giving him an STD?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

There is no need to worry if you have tested negative more than once and found results to be negative. It is unlikely that transmission of STDs will cause bloating and growling in stomach. However, my suggestion will be to always have condom sex when having with boyfriend/ girlfriend to reduce any chances of transmitting a STD.

The boating and growling after sex might be his body reacting to a session of sexual intercourse. During sex, there are neurotransmitters secreted which cause stimulation of the genital organs and brain. This can also influence the bowel and stomach leading to a feeling of fullness and stomach bloating. This happens because the nerve pathways in the autonomic nervous system play a part in sex and bowel mechanisms. When this pathway is stimulated during sex, some of the feelings like bloating and growling of stomach can be appreciated in some people. There is no reason to worry.
