I have borderline diabetes, my a1c is 6.3. last night before I went to bed I had a hand full of jelly beans and woke up in the middle of the night with sharp muscle pains in my left thigh, like my muscles were tearing apart, and my right leg had a cramp from the back of the knee down to my foot which I was able to walk off in about 30 minutes. the sharp pains in my left leg went away after laying down and rubbing it for about 1/2 hour or so. Is the sugar causing these cramps
