Does Bulky Uterus With Multiple Hypoechoic Foci In Myometrium Relate To Infertility ?
Dear Dr, Myself L das, my wife got an ultrasound report that uterus is mildly bulky measuring 8.4*3.7 cm with multiple hypoechoic foci in the myometrium... Her age is 20. So i want to know what does the repot means and is there any thing to worry about her fertility?
Hello, I have gone through the query and understood your concern. I will be able to comment better if you can attach the sonogram report on this platform. Usually, hypoechoic areas are observed as a common phenomena, sometimes due to previous procedures, due to calcification, endometritis and fibroids. This need not alter the fertility status unless there are masses beneath the endometrium of the uterus that may hamper implantation of the embryo. I would suggest simple observation and no active interference since instrumentation can cause more harm than benefit. Hope your query has been answered.
