Does Caffeine Interact With Kenalog?

I had an injection of kenalog directly into my sinus cavities 2 weeks ago because of a stopped up ear by my ENT .I normally do not drink coffee.A few days after the injection I had a few cups.Within an hour I began sweating and feeling dizzy.I went home and lay down and a few hours later felt better.Does caffeine react with kenalog? Thank you.

Hi,

There are no known interactions between caffeine and Kenalog (triamcinolone) injection. However, caffeine can cause side effects such as jitteriness, nervousness, and increased heart rate. These symptoms may be exacerbated by the use of Kenalog, which is a corticosteroid medication that can also cause similar side effects. Additionally, Kenalog can cause other side effects such as dizziness, sweating, and headache.

It is possible that the symptoms you experienced were due to the combination of caffeine and Kenalog, but it is also possible that they were unrelated. If you continue to experience these symptoms or have any concerns, it is recommended that you discuss them with your healthcare provider.
