Does Calcification On Breast Indicate Breast Cancer?
If the mammogram shows calcification in the results does that mean it is the beginning of a cyst/tumor forming? Is this something I should worry about? I have been told that I have dense breasts. I am 61 yrs. old. 7 1/2 yrs ago I was diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer & they cut out the cancerous part. I was treated with radiation following my surgery. Pls advise.
Hello thank you for your question . Breasts calcification can be a result of previous inflamatory dissease In your case it can be result of the radiotherapy and if in the same side as the operated breasts , a result of the surgery , calcificated knot . If you were my patient i would suggest a following mamography after some time to see if there is some progress .
