i felt a lump on or near my very last ribs on my right side. I believe those are floating ribs. The lump has only occurred within the last 2 weeks. The doctor said it was either a sprain or a calcium deposit. What do those mean? Can they get worse?
it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for medical and physical examination. based from your description, it could just be a bony protrusion or a prominence. it could also be a cyst, a lipoma or a fibroma. further diagnostics and management (medical and/or surgical if indications are found) will be directed accordingly.
hope this helps.
good day!!
