Does Changing Concor To Renitec Have Any Side Effects?

I hv been on plendil 5mg and renitec 5 mg for 10+ years n my pulse rate has been between 95 to 100. My doctor change to Concor 5 + 5mg renitec. Now the pulse rate is 72. I hv been on for 20 days. Does change cause any side effects. I feel light headedness n giddy. Please advise. Thanks Lam

Hi,

Light headedness and giddiness are minor side effects of Concor, Bisoprolol, a beta blocker used to reduced hypertension. You can change the drug after consulting with your Doctor for alternate anti-hypertensives.
