Does Clear Liquid Ooze From Nipples Indicate Pregnancy?

My husband and I are trying for a baby. My period is due any day now, but I have noticed that when my nipples are squeezed, a clear liquid comes out. Also he notices a taste when he sucks my nips? What is going on? I took a pregnancy test, however, it was negative. It may have been too early to take it though.
