Does Coconut Oil Lubrication During Sexual Intercourse Cause Problems In Conceiving?

Hi Doc, I m 26 yrs old female. Till date i have not had any medical problems. I m married and we are trying to conceive. My husband uses little coconut oil on his penis while inserting where as i don t use any. He has tried inserting without using any lubricant but he complains of lot of pain. I have not had any infection or irritation due to oil. In fact i find it better if we use it as i start lubricating once he inserts. Could you please tell me if this little usage of coconut oil will hinder my chances of conceiving? We are not using any other lubricant because i heard that none of the available lubricants in market apart from preseed is sperm friendly. And we are not getting preseed in India. Could you please help on this one?

As you have a problem of lack of lubrication while intercourse and you are using coconut oil right now.
In this condition there is not a problem with coconut oil and it never make trouble with conception. Although if you can manage Pure Ghee is more comfortable and sperm friendly too.
I always advise to use Pure Ghee for lubrication while intercourse.
More thing is that getting arousal always makes lubrication, so if you concentrate in foreplay and making foreplay more innovation will always gives you lubrication in inner parts.
Everyone can get lubrication while intercourse, its natural; Needed to find out the way is important.

All the Best. Do not worry about conception. Wait and watch till one year after trying, its normal. Then after you need to consult a doctor.
