Does Colored Urine Commonly Occur Post Appendix Surgery?
My son is 13 and yesterday had emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix. Today he is slowly getting on his feet. Yet to have a bowel movement but been told this is normal. The problem is his urine is a bright orange colour and smells like faeces. He had urine tests before surgery and all were clear.

Hello.If your child's urine smells like faeces, it is necessary to rule out fistula (communication) between the bowel and bladder, occurs in some cases of acute appendicitis. Please inform about it to the Surgeon of the Clinic as soon as possible.I wish your son good health.
