Does Continuous Intake Of Ovral L Pose Long Term Health Risks?
Good evening doctor, I am a married 35 yrs old woman. I am 5.3 and 76 kgs. I m having problems in my mensural right from the begining. I was continuous treatment till my marriage i.e., 8th september 05. After marriage I went for fertility treatment. I ve undergone laproscopic in 2007 and IVF in Nov 2008. Doctors tried for IUI, but failed. I won t get my periods till i take a pill. I will feel short breath or uncomfortness in breathing if I didn t take pills for more than 2 months. So I am taking Ovarl L, if I feel discomfort after 2 or 3 months after my periods. My question is Is it harm in taking Ovarl L continously like this? Will I get any disease if I continue the same. Ovral L contains both ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel which is used for contraception or preventing pregnancy, irregular periods etc. Side effects of ovral L are nausea, vomiting, breast pain, irregular uterine bleeding, headache, abdominal bloating, weight changes, fluid retention, missed periods, mood swings, diarrhea, dizziness, fever, tachycardia, anorexia, heartburn, slurred speech, blurred vision, indigestion, abdominal pain, sweating, pain during sexual intercourse, nervousness, acnes, facial hair growth, allergic reactions etc.
