Does Cunnilingus Cause Urinary Tract Infection?

My wife had got urinary problems from recent and now it's frequent! When she has this problem, She says her urine is red colour and paining too! Of course I took her to doctor's took the medication. She says it might be the case of cunnilingus and we may have to stop that method! At the same time she complains her hip is paining too! My Q is is cunnilingus is the real cause?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, cunnilingus can give mouth infection to you through the presence of bacteria over her vagina if present, it is not the cause of her Urinary Tract Infection (UTI).

Recurrent UTI may occur from:
- Inadequate hydration
- Alteration in urine pH
- Diabetes
- Associated genital infection
- Others

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
