Does Cylindrical Eye Power In Kids Increase With Age?

Hi Doc,

I kid (2.5) yrs old has been detected with cyclindrical power as follows (-2.5 cylindrical,axis 180 n vision CSM ,spherical +0.75) in both the eyes. I am very much worried as parent as his life has just begun. The doc has justed glasses for him. Kindly guide me if he needs to wear the glasses all time n will it be cured or worsen with age and would lead to vision lose...please help me dov..

if the child is going to school then he has to use the specs. i will not go away of its own. this power may not be effected with age. Can have a second opinion and if it is confirm then persuade the child to use it at least while reading. parents and teacher are to be explained. with every body's support he will c operate.
