Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, long term use may cause certain side effects.
Incomplete data like age, gender, purpose of taking Cyra-D capsule, any associated medical issues, etc ???
Cyra D Capsule (Rabeprazole & Domperidone) is generally prescribed for the treatment of stomach acidity related problems such as
gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastritis or
stomach ulcer.
Usually treatment is prescribed for 4-6 weeks. If there's associated
Helicobacter pylori infection then need to take a two weeks course of two antibiotics initially along with the above prescribed medications.
This will not only decreased the symptoms but also promote healing of the stomach ulcer, etc.
Long term use of Cyra-D may cause thinning of the bones (osteoporosis), deficiency of vitamin B12, increased risk of intestinal infections,
aspiration pneumonia, etc.
I advise you to consult a physician for further evaluation like
Urea breath test to rule out Helicobater pylori infection and gastroscopy.
Certain lifestyle changes like avoiding alcohol, smoking, fatty meals, fast and junk foods, coffee will help a lot.
Hope this will help.
