Does Cyst In Ovary Cause Irregular Periods With Painful Back Cramps?
I get my period every so often and my last one was a good year ago I m 41 years old and got a real back cramp and I not have a lot of blood clots and hurting real bad about 4 years ago I did a ultrasound and they stated that I had a cyst on my right ovary but not big enough to do anything with.
Hello dear Understand your concern. Yes cyst in ovary can cause irregular period and cramps. It is called polycystic ovarian syndrome. Main reason is hormonal imbalance. Ovary produce excess androgen that interfere with growth of ovarian follicle and ovulation.Also there is increased LH, estrone, testosterone and also there is insulin resistance. So anovulation and menstrual irregularity may produce back cramp.
Better to consult the gynecologist and do necessary investigations like: Hormonal analysis USG Ovarian follicle study Blood sugar and insulin.
Advice Tablet meftal spas Oral contraceptive pill used to regular the period: progesterone suppress LH and oestrogen improve SHGB and reduce the free testosterone. Maintain weight Start regular exercise for 45 minutes in early morning.
