Does Dementia Cause Burning Sensation In The Lips?
My husband has dementia and constantly spits and complains of his lips burning; we have found no physical reason for this; was checked by our dentist, our personal physician, and an ear, nose and throat specialist; could this be coming from the dementia condition?
It may be due to psychological paraesthesia of lips. Which is common in old age with Alzheimer's disease. Also, check for serum B12 level with serum calcium. May antidepressants may elevate his problem. Please consult your neuro physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
