Does Diet Change Have An Effect On The Bowel Movements?

I recently quit drinking diet colas, and cut out processed sweets. I am eating more grains like brown rice and oatmeal. I am currently taking sucralfate and sometime as I have had ongoing nausea and my doctor is working with me on that issue. My question is my bowel movements have gone from brown to yellow in the last few weeks. Could this be a result of the diet change, the meds, or a combination of both?
