Does Diverticulitis Cause Numbness In The Body?

hi i have diverticulitis started last Wednesday so i called my doctor today in got pain on left side stomach , tis is fourth times , do diverticulitis cause numbess thur out the body , up to my eyes too ..so tomorrow i go to emergency , i need antibiotic pills or iv .

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are numbness could not directly because of diverticulitis but it can be from chronic diarrhea induced by diverticulitis. So let me know if you are having on and off diarrhea since long time because chronic diarrhea can lead electrolyte loss in electrolyte imbalance can cause numbness. Kindly check your serum Sodium, Potassium and Calcium level. If after treatment of diverticulitis and after replacement of Lost electrolyte with lots of fluid and ORS your numbness persist then for other work up done with serum blood sugar and Vitamin B12 estimation.
