Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i drank a lot of wine this past weekend in a short amount of time. my stool the next day was minimal, and light green. yesterday it turned brown and was still minimal. Today it has been smelly and there is clear stuff on the toilet paper when i wipe. any idea what could be wrong?
Yes, it may be due to the color of the wine or alcohol-induced gastritis with an active ulcer or upper GI bleed or colitis or hemorrhoids. Avoid spicy food and alcohol. Avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
