Does Eating Correct Food Items Help Curing H.pylori?
Thank you, I would like to know if just eating correctly can help cur h.pylori? My dad is 76 and has the disease. At the moment he is really sick, he has lost 45kg in 4 months and is very nauseous. I have tried all kinds of food to tempt him to eat, but meat makes him very nauseous. He has never been a great lover of vegetables but loves fruit and jogurt.

You mention your father has H. pylori. Helicobacter pylori is a bacteria and can only be cured with antibiotics. I assume he had an endoscopy with biopsies that showed the bacterium. H. Pylori infection can cause ulcers in the stomach and duodenum and lead to bleeding and perforation, and hence should be treated promptly. Healthy food and natural medicines although good for overall health, do not cure the infection. Only antibiotics prescribed by a physician will cure the H. pylori.
