Does Experiencing Nausea, Often Heart Burn Are Signs Of Having GERD? Will Taking Pylokit Helps?

Hi Dr. I think I have GERD. I usually experience nausea on a daily basis and often heart burn too. I can't eat certain foods like rice, I find chocolate, too much salt, sugar, black tea aggravates nausea and heart burn, definitely spices and Chili is now out of the question! One of the doctors I have recently seen has prescribed Pylokit, I just haven't bought yet. Will it help?

Hi
Pylokit contain lanzoprazole , clarithromycin and tinidazole.
So it contain antibiotic and it is used to treat H.pylori infection in chronic gastritis or ulcer.

Your symptoms seems to be related with GERD so IF I were your treating doctor I would start the treatment with lanzoprazole or esomeprazole alone without antibiotic.
IF It is no improvement consult GI specialist to run examination like upper endoscopy and breathing test for H.Pylori.

wishing you fast recovery
