Does Extreme Pain In Rib Indicate A Broken Rib ?

I hit my right lower rib area HARD - thought and felt like a cracked rib but , it is the lowest rib and the pain is also below that area - can hardly move ( this was late Thursday night) I finally went to a instacare facility - they said x rat show no broken ribs - I am in excruciating pain and it seems as tho. The pain us spreading , I realize my kudney is right there and they saidno blood in urine - I don t know now what to do - I can t seem to get comfortable and seems like things are worse? I am female 52

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern once the x-ray shows no abnormality then this is nothing to worry, as long as the rib fractures are concern, now the pain could be due to soft tissue inflammation, in my opinion condition can be treated with Tab Diclofenac 50 mg once in a day for if this is local inflammation of soft tissue and this would be fine in couple of days, if this does not comes to normal then further investigation may be needed, like CT scan, ultrasonography, to rule out underlying causes of serious injures, take care.
