Does Fever During Pregnancy Affect The Development Of Baby?

I ve had a low grade fever since the weekend. And, the only symptoms I ve had is an on and off congested nose. I just found out I was pregnant (today = 5 wks, 6 days). I saw my OB yesterday and he said it sounded like an upper respiratory (virus). I m just really concerned about the fever and the development of my baby. This is our 2nd, planned, pregnancy. Any words of advice?

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Mild upper respiratory tract viral infection with low grade fever in early pregnancy do not affect the fetus in any adverse way.
I suggest you not to worry and take medications only which are safe in pregnancy.
