Does Fever With Pus Cells In Urine Require Hospitalization?
Hi My father aged 63 yrs is suffering with fever increasing for last 3 days.Blood tests show that his WBC TLC is 16000 and Urine analysis state a that s he has Plenty Puss cells.We took him to ER and they advised to admit him ASAP to avoid infection reaching to other parts.Question:- Does this required hospitalization or can it be cured as an outpatient? Thanks
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. He has plenty of pus cells and fever with high total WBC count. So it confirm the urinary tract infection.
If general condition of patient is good then it can be cured on out patient based treatment.
If general condition is poor then it need hospitalization.

If general condition of patient is good then it can be cured on out patient based treatment. He can take drugs like levofloxacin or norfloxacin for infection. Take paracetamol as and when required.
