Does Fibromyalgia Cause Burning Sensation In The Feet?

When I go to bed my feet become very very hot and turn bright red it s unbearable. Nothing seems to help i have to sleep with ice packs in my feet. They even become swollen. I have to get up and put my feet in cold water. What could possibly be wrong? I have severe fibromyalgia could that be a cause? But I ve had that for years now and never had this problem.

Hello,

Fibromyalgia cannot cause burning in the feet directly. Burning in the feet is directing us towards the uric acid issue. Which needs some attention and diagnostic test. If the test is negative then we may have to check for lumbar spine MRI and rule out the pathology associated.

It can be due to high levels of uric acid or either it's due to lumbar spine pathology.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
