Does Fluid In The Pouch Of Douglas Cause Delay In Cycles ?
Hello,i recently did a pelvic scan and my doctor said i hav fluid in pouch of douglas Scan was done because i havent had my menses since july and my husband and i are trying for a baby. Does this fluid hav any connection to my cycle? Am on antibiotics though..how will the fluid get out? Thanks
Some fluid in Pouch of Douglas is not of any consequence and it has not any relation to your missed periods. If fluid is in more quantity it may be due to Pelvic Inflammatory Disease(PID) which is an infection which needs to be treated with antibiotics -including antibiotics for anaerobic micro organisms also to rule out tubercular Pelvic Inflammation -For your periods and unable to conceive you should get your hormone profile (Prolactin,Thyroid profile,FSH,LH etc.)and to rule out Polycystic Ovarian Disease(PCOD) and take low-dose Oral Contraceptive for 3to 6 months;,PID andPCOD are easily treatable.
