Does Gamma Knife Surgery Lead To Anxiety Disorders And Depression?
Hello Dr. I have had four surgeries on a pituitary tumor that was discovered in 1987. Two caniadamies, one through the sinus canal, and one with the gamma knife. The tumor is still actively producing prolactin to this day. My question is this have you run into many patients that underwent the gamma knife surgery that ended up with anxiety disorders, and deppression?
I went through your details. Gamme knife surgery cannot directly lead to anxiety and depression. But indirectly any surgery or medical procedure done on your body can lead to depression and anxiety. That happens because of your love towards your family and due to fear of ''some thing is wrong with my body''. That is quite normal. Within some days, when you recover from the surgical wounds, when you be active in your daily routines, you should ignore this anxiety and depression, thereby ending it permanently. Believe me.

Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications. Good luck.
