Does having g6pd make it difficult to maintain weight?I weigh 205lbs and the standard that I'm held to says I need to be maintaining a weight of 186lbs. In order to keep my job in good standing I need to be at that weight,I get down to 190lbs then I go back up...

G6PD deficiency would not impact on your ability to maintain a specific weight.

It only presents or becomes symptomatic when a persons is exposed to a stressor (some medications) that causes a further decrease in the G6PD levels.

When you notice your weight climbing 5 pounds above your goal, you should start initiating lifestyle changes at that point to push it back down.
This would mean altering your diet and activity level.
