Does Headache Cause Problem With Writing?

I have chronic headaches and neck pain from severe auto accident in 1985. I get steroid shots into my occipital nerves at base of skull ever 4 mo. Last had them 2.5 mo ago. I have had a headache with neck pain for 4 days in a row now. last night the pain was so severe that I was vomiting. I feel like my brain isn t functioning right anymore. I struggle with writing the things I want to. Words are readily coming to me. Not sure if its just from the headache or something more.

Hello,
Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern and the anguish that you are having.

I have gone through the question and think that you have a soft tissue injury in the neck. A soft tissue injury is one that causes the headache to start. You will be able to prevent the migraine by controlling the soft tissue injury will help you. Here are a few things that you can do to help you:
Ice the area for 15 mins every hour
Massage the area to reduce the pain
Use ibuprofen gel on the neck to help prevent the swelling
If needed, take Ibuprofen tablets to help you

Follow up after 5 days. All the best.
Hope this helps you. Feel free to clarify further.
