Does High Dosage Of Multaq Cause Dizziness?

I was recently prescribed 400mg of multaq, twice a day for recently diagnosed afib. I initially had some dizziness when I got up, and read that is relatively common. But in the last week, I had two incidents where I got dizzy and woke up on the floor. Could this be a sign that I m just on too much of the drug. (I also had a heartct scan and they didntbfind any other issues other than the afib).

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Multaq (Dronedarone) is an Antiarythmic drug commonly used in Atrial fibrilation. It should be taken during the morning and the evening meal.
In my opinion you are not using to much of this medication.
Lightheadedness and dizziness are not very common side effects of Dronedarone, although it may happen in some cases. I suggest you to consult your doctor to try to choose another Antiarythmic drug for atrial fibrilation treatment, to prove if these symptoms are caused from Dronedarone.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
