my blood sugar is 171 after eating donuts which i know will raise it substantially but my doctor says that my hemoglobin is high which could indicate diabetes how do they determine that through hemoglobin?
i also have pcod will that cause higher than normal sugars also?
dear madam I can understand your concern there is a blood test called glycosylated Haemoglobin which will give an average blood glucose for past 3 months and will not show much fluctuations like blood sugar. the patients having PCOD are having more chance of getting diabetes than people with out PCOD maintaing BMI below 24.5 is very important do daily exersise regards Dr vamsi
