Does High Sodium Levels Cause A Swollen Vein Inside The Lower Lip?
Every once in awhile my lower lip gets a swollen "vein" on inside. Is it due to high sodium? I have a pic. Just curious. Thank you. Also. Have you heard of legs gurgling? I asked my doc about it and he simply said "legs don't gurgle". But it sure feels like my left leg does. Like I can FEEL the blood gurgle through.
Elevated sodium does not cause lip swelling. It might be due to something else and probably due to allergic reaction or angioedema. If the swelling persist, better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
