Does Infections Causes Irrational And Confused Behavior?

My wife is in hospital having varied tests -- bladder infection, slightly bloodied discharges and sickly stomach She had developed an anti- hospital staff complex and won't eat the hospital food or drink the water despite being a diabetic. I worry quite a lot (me being 84 and she 81). Do infections cause irrational and confused behaviour?

Welcomers to hcm,
The altered behavior of your wife is due to her hospital stay and not because of her infections. Hope she is behaving like this so that she will be discharged early.
This is a form of depressive behavior.
Have a positive attitude and
Have a few speaking with her
Hope this explains
With regards
Dr Amarnath
