Does Inflammation Of Gut Indicate Crohn S Disease?
Hi. My stool doesn t often take shape. 9 times out of 10 I ve got mucusy stool. I went to test my stool today at the hospital. I was told there is pus in it. the doctor said I have Inflammation of the Gut.also I have had dull pain on and off over the past 6 months in my right abdomen, inside at the bottom of the ribcage.I fear Crohns disease as my research indicates a link. I want to get an endoscopy. It would be nice to hear from you
Hello, It does sound as if you have some form of inflammatory bowel disease, determining crohns or ulcerative colitis requires a colonoscopy. The stool can be tested for inflammatory markers or infection but outside of that does not offer specific diagnosis. Consider seeking evaluation from gastroenterologist for colonoscopy and biopsy.
