Does Inhaling Strong Fumes Due To Burning Cause Any Problem In Pregnancy?
Hi, I just found out I was preganant yesterday (4 weeks) and am worried as the week before I accidentally melted the bottom of our toaster on an element on the stove. I was cleaning it up for about 30mins and it was pretty strong fumes that I was inhaling. Do you think it could be a problem this early on in the pregnancy?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. Inhaling strong fumes for 30 minutes( only once)can cause allergic /irritation reaction in mother's body specially respiratory tract. It is not likely to cause bad effect on pregnancy. Please don't worry. Thanks.
