Hello and welcome,

I am Dr Madhuri a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist and will be helping you with your queries.
I understand your concern. It seems that you had something called hemorrhage of pregnancy and most likely it must have been a heavy bleed after delivery. Please understand that this is not an uncommon condition and many women in developing countries loose thier lives to this. Very little time is available at that time with doctors to control the bleeding and saving life is of prime importance than consent.

The drugs used to control the bleeding are extremely common and you would have recieved most of these as prophylactic shots to prevent bleeding even if there had not been any bleeding.

Infertility due to the use of these drugs is not documented in out literature. So please do not think that the drugs caused this infertility. Please thank the doctors that may have acted promptly at that time and saved your life.

Also if you are experiencing problems in conceiving, it would be a good idea to see an infertility specialist and get evaluated for causes of secondary infertility as we call it and get treated accordingly.

All my best wishes are with you.

Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
