Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have been reading about the pros and cons of drinking coffee. I am caring for a senior 92 yrs, who was admitted to the hospital for dehydration has come home after recovering and the aide insists on giving senior coffee all day long because it is a liquid. I have read in some medical journals that coffee in fact dehydrates, and that for every cup of coffee you drink must drink an equal amount of water. is this a current fact and if so, please verify facts as my protocol is decaffeinated coffee as an alternative? thank Rochelle
