Does It Make Sense To Die Out Of Seizure After Resection Surgery?

My wife s father came out of resection surgery alive but in great pain. After he was discharged from the hospital, he had a bout of vomiting in which he brought up dark brown liquid. The next day he had a seizure of some sort and died quickly. Does this suggest a clear explanation?

clear explanation can be only with post mortem (autopsy)

without autopsy we can only guess

the probable cause is erosion of an artery leading to Bleeding in abdomen which causes hypoxia due to hypoperfusion
