Does It Mean Anything When You Feel Like Your Heart Is Beating In Your Throat ?

Does it mean anything when you feel like your heart is beating in your throat ? Sometimes I ll randomly feel like my heart is beating in my throat and it s a really weird feeling. And lately if I get up real fast or something, my heart will start beating faster and it s kind of scary. Does that happen to anyone else? Is it bad?

It really depends on how old you are, and if it is causing you problems. I feel like my heart is speeding up sometimes. It did it more when I was younger, and I was a lot healthier then! If you are feeling faint or pass out during one of these episodes you definately need to have this checked out. Now, if you feel just fine other then the heat beating feeling, I would say you are ok! If you are going to have tests done, start with an EKG, and the blood tests :BMP, Mag, Phos and Ionized Calcium., and a set of cardiac markers. Do a CBC if you are feeling froggy... it wont tell you much about your heart, but it will tell you what your white cell count is (WBC) and Hemaglobin (Hgb) and Platlets.

This has been happening to me too lately... I've been tryin to ignore and hope it will go away, but it always happens...
