Does Itchy Vagina After Having Sex During Periods Suggest Infection?
i am 19yrs old and had sex with my boyfriend aged 25 during 2nd day of my periods and today nov 21 is the 3rd day. Now i feel some itchiness on my genital area, does this means i suffer from any kind of infection? but we had sex using condom , so is there any chance of getting infection or any other problem because i think my periods stopped. But i didnt lose any blood during insertion ,plz advice sir.
1. Bacterial vaginosis. Symptoms like itching, burning, smelly vaginal discharge (fishy-smelling odor) which is white, gray or yellow and burning during urination may indicate bacterial vaginosis.
2.Vaginal yeast infection. Symptoms like itching, burning, pain during sex and change of vaginal discharge which can be white or cheesy.
3. STDs. Symptoms that may exist: burning when urinating, abnormal vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding between periods or after sex.
If the irritation continues I suggest you to make an appointment with your doctor so that he or she will examine your vagina for signs of infection and prescribe treatment. He or she may collect a sample of vaginal discharge for examination to find the source of the problem.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
