Does Lack Of Nutrition Cause Behavioral Disorder In Children?

My Child can sit down and read but when he is out of the house, he behaves hyper. His attention span has been affected and he is always getting trouble in school for the past 1 year. He refused to do some of his homework too and his grades are affected. Is there a lack of some nutrition in his diet or should i avoid some food in his diet.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
In my opinion hyperactivity and attention problems can occur with iron deficiency. Try giving him iron supplementation.
Also avoid foods with caffeine, preservatives etc.
Try modifying his diet and iron for three months.
If no improvement then see a Developmental and behavioural paediatrician for behavioural assessment.
I hope I have helped you.
Thank you.
