category C: Levetiracetam(lavera xr 1000) has been assigned to pregnancy cat-C by the FDA. Animal studies have revealed evidence of increased incidences of minor fetal skeletal abnormalities, retarded offspring growth, embryofetal mortality and offspring behavioral alterations.
