Does Loops Of Nuchal Chords Hinder Delivery?

My brother's wife is about to give birth to a child (5th November 2011 - pregnancy detected). Now the color sonography is giving the report of 2 loops of nuchal chords so doctor suggested the operation. Is it right? or there is no requirement of operation and noraml delivery can happen? kindly reply soon.

Hi...in your case two loops of cord around neck is never indication for cesarrion section... But in this condition chances of birth asphyxia is there...so if you are ready to take risk then go for vaginal delivery.. But if progress of labor is not adequate & if it is prolonged then you should not take risk & go for operation...
