Does Low BP Combined With Fatigue Need Medical Attention?

Yesterday I went to see a cardiologist and my blood pressure was 94/46. It is historically low for me. Is it any thing I should worry about? or check myself in at a hospital. I have a physical scheduled for Wed this coming week. today I feel tired, I mean very tired which is also unusual with me because I am a very energetic person. Any advice? Mrs Penner

Hi welcome to HCM.
Low blood pressure can be quite symptomatic and has to be promptly treated.Hydrate yourself adequately with 3-4 liters of water/day to prevent low blood pressure.Maintain your blood pressure just under 130/80 mm of Hg.I advise you to have a baseline ecg and 2 dimensional echo to rule out organic heart heart diseases contributing to low blood pressure.Drugs like midodrine can help to increase the blood pressure in resistant cases.Consult your cardiologist for further help.
Thank you.
