Does Lower Backpain, Pain In Leg, Pink Discharge At 38 Weeks Of Pregnancy Indicate Labor Shortly?

Hi im 38 weeks pregnant and this morning I had brown discharge now its pink but very little does this mean im loosing my mucus plug. I have only had pain in my lower back near my pelvis and down my leg like he's sitting on my nerves. Does it mean ill go into labour in a few days?

Hi,

Thanks for the query.

The presence of pink discharge and lower back pain do indicate that this may be expulsion of the mucus plug. The pain is already suggestive of labor pain. I suggest that you visit the emergency room immediately and get a pelvic examination done to check for opening up of the cervix. Have a safe delivery and my good wishes are with you.

Hope this satisfies your query.
