Hello,

There is a mild risk of getting seizure while we reduce the dose of any drug. However, it needs to be done as she is on three different medications to treat seizures. Moreover, Clonazepam and Clobazam are two drugs belonging to the same class of Benzodiazepines. It is not rational to use two drugs of the same class. Clobazam has better anti-seizure property. Therefore, I would agree with the plan of reducing Clonazepam dose and totally stopping it at a later date.

Hope I have answered your query.

Hello,

Lowering of Clonazepam may cause seizures.

However, it has to be done as it is irrational to use two drugs of the same class (Clobazam and Clonazepam). Between the two, Clobazam has better anti-seizure properties, so, I would agree with the approach to taper and stop Clonazepam and continue only Clobazam.

Hope I have answered your query.
